B. Ware

Made this some time ago, but it was a poster for something else that i was never quite pleased with. I still love this gorilla though and i've been very lax with the art posting lately. Takes a while to get my groove back so don't write me off blogosphere, i got worries.

Thanks For The Mammaries

This is an actual storefront in Phoenicia NY.... Which part of it do you find the most terrifying?
At first i thought it was that she had receding hairline, but i changed my mind when it was pointed out that she has no fingers.

These two decided to forge an everlasting friendship in the wilderness.... Joe and I watched "Rock Of Love", which is an equally bonding experience.

"Elimination really sucks for me"- Bret Michaels.

Meg, Joe, Val, and I went upstate in a blizzard last weekend... Sounds crazy don't it?.... Well thats what separates the lions from the cubs.... This is Mohonk Mountain House, we snuck in to enjoy tea time and a roaring fire.

Hear The Lamentations of the Women

We partied at Judi's on friday after a screening of "The Wrestler"... We then expanded our minds and watched Conan the Barbarian (1982) on digital cable... I had a major revelation about the films anti-hippie message, but everyone couldn't stop laughing long enough for me to share it... So here it is, it concerns John Milius, who directed the film and Oliver Stone, who wrote it... Stone being a vietnam verteran, and Milius being a bit of a gun nut (the character Walter Sobchack played by John Goodman in The Big Lebowski is closely based on Milius) ... the film's main plot is about a king's daughter who joins a snake cult who worships a shape shifting holy man named Thulsa Doom... the king hires Conan to bring his daughter back, which he gladly accepts seeing as Doom murdered his entire family when he was a child... long story short, Conan exacts his revenge and beheads Doom in front of his followers at his temple... I imagined Stone and Milius were referencing Jim Jones, Manson, etc... and the snake cult representing the "Me" generation of the 1970's... Conan represents the idea of the soldier, driven by a code of honor and service that was derided and demonized in the media, post 'Nam... If Altamont was the slap of reality that ended the 60's, Conan the Barbarian marks the end of the 70's and ushers in a new age of films(Platoon, First Blood, Full Metal Jacket, Missing In Action, etc...) that celebrates the call of duty and elevates the action sequence to new heights.... Or maybe i was just wasted, who knows....

Massacree

Ok, so per Judi's request we had a party last saturday on the anniversary of the tragedy at Guyana... this is the revised invite, it was brought to my attention that my first attempt was deemed "morbid"... it was clear that i missed the sentiment of this occasion, so i made this version that was dead baby free.
Maddy and Peter were first.... they apparently couldn't wait to die.
our make-shift shrine.... don't judge.
get ready for space mac n cheese straight from hollyweird... i heard reports that it didn't work, but it was mostly from skinny drug addicts.
here's Megan getting the mood lighting just right for the sacrifice.
Martin Manly honors a forgotten hero...look closely and you can see that Jim autographed these from beyond the grave!
this was the drink of choice...it should do the trick.
yep, this is the death of the new 60's.... burn your headbands and MGMT records.
